Public defense leaders operate in environments where the work is emotionally demanding, the decisions are complex, and the challenges require balancing organizational priorities with the needs of staff and clients. Emotional intelligence is a critical leadership competency that influences communication, decision-making, collaboration, resilience, and organizational culture.
This session explores how emotionally intelligent leadership strengthens trust, improves workplace relationships, and supports resilient, high-performing teams. Participants will examine leadership practices that foster resilience and create healthier organizational cultures. Participants will leave with practical strategies they can begin applying immediately in their leadership roles.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

2. Recognize leadership behaviors that influence culture
3. Identify high impact practices of emotionally intelligent leaders
